I finished watching Gods and Generals for the first time today. Wow. I knew Stonewall Jackson was a man of faith, but this movie depicted it so vividly. It brought the Civil War, and the lives of the great men that fought in it, to life. I'd like to see Gettysburg now.

I like them both, but Gettysburg is the better of the two. Good to hear from you.

I wouldn't look up for half the scenes in Gods and Generals when I first watched it; I'm sure my brother would be glad to watch it with me again! He received Gettysburg for Christmas, and I was thinking someone had said it was even better. And feel free to call me; I should be home for a while now.

Gettysburg has too much battle . . . Gods and Generals breaks it up a little more. I have other reasons for liking Gods and Generals better, though.
- Robert Duvall is a much better Robert E. Lee
- They show Washington and Lee University!!!
- The theology in Gods and Generals is much better
- And other reasons wwhich I can't recall or don't wish to write down

The History of Gettysburg is better. :-D

So it sounds like I should watch Gettysburg and just prepare myself for lots of battle scenes. :)
