Caedmon's Call

I just have to say - I got to go to a Caedmon's Call concert tonight with Sandy, Andrea, Leanne (Bisculca) and Sherri. It was so much fun! They are one of my favorite bands, and it was so neat to hear them in person for the first time. One of the neatest things is that they played the song I posted a few days ago on my blog and had on my away message - walk with me. They played some of my favorite songs, and also some songs from their newest album I just got, Share the Well. The really neat thinga bout that was that the majority of that album was inspired by their mission trip to India. They went to the Dalit, which is the lowest class of people in the Indian Caste System (called the untouchables). Dalit means "the broken." They invited Dalit musicians from all over India and recorded them for their album, and they are raising awareness of the persecution of these people. The website of the organization working to free the Dalits is www.dalitnetwork.org. It was great to hear Caedmon's Call's heart for missions and especially for India. Of course, this interests me as I am planning on going to Chennai, India, this summer.

So, I had a wonderful time. :)
